On Sunday 11/10/26, PCSO Nad, visited #Oadby Gurdwara as part of the ongoing National Hate Crime Awareness Week campaign. It was a valuable opportunity to engage with members of the community, share advice on recognising and reporting hate crime, and discuss how we can work together to challenge prejudice and promote inclusion. Priority 1: Burglary You Said You told us that you were concerned about burglaries within the Oadby area.
What We Are Doing Officers continue to conduct regular patrols in areas where offences have occurred. These targeted patrols are helping to reduce the number of burglaries and will continue moving forward. Where CCTV is available, it provides valuable intelligence regarding offence times, locations and any vehicles involved. This information helps us develop effective patrol strategies and identify patterns of offending. Priority 2: Road Safety You Said You told us that road safety remains a priority. This includes concerns around speeding, insurance, MOT offences and other driving-related matters.

Reassurance Patrols The Oadby Team continues to carry out reassurance patrols across the neighbourhood to deter crime and anti-social behaviour while maintaining a visible and accessible policing presence. Residents may occasionally see officers parked in police vehicles while completing enquiries and administrative tasks. This enables officers to remain visible within the community while carrying out essential policing work. If you see us out and about and would like to discuss a local concern, please feel free to come over and speak with us. Anti-Social Vehicle Use As part of our ongoing neighbourhood priorities, officers continue to address concerns around vehicles being used in an anti-social manner. Regular patrols are conducted in identified hotspot locations, and where appropriate, Section 59 Warnings are issued to drivers whose use of a vehicle causes, or is likely to cause, alarm, distress or annoyance to members of the public. These patrols help: Drug Misuse During the month, officers identified a number of individuals suspected of involvement in drug misuse within the local area. Where offences were identified, appropriate action was taken. Tackling drug-related activity remains a key priority, and officers will continue to: As we are seeing the evenings draw darker a lot quicker, we remind people to lock up their homes, light them up and give the illusion that someone is home. Remember to test your burglar regularly. Use timer switches to ensure lights come on when it gets dark. Fit sheds, garages or any outbuildings with locks and alarms. Make sure your house still looks occupied. Reconsider leaving notes for the postman about where to leave your parcels. Look at your property from the outside and review what can be seen.
